In a Melbourne first, Marvel Stadium recently hosted Stadium Golf from 14-24 September on its iconic pitch, known for hosting internationally acclaimed concerts and Australia’s most loved sporting codes, including AFL, Soccer, Rugby, and Cricket, transformed into an interactive nine-hole golf course.
Presented by Sportsbet, Stadium Golf isn’t your typical day on the links. It gives people the chance to show off their skills by driving golf balls onto the very ground where sporting heroes have made history.
With direction from our friends at TLA Worldwide, Spark’s Event and Workforce Manager Anthony Walls was able to navigate and take responsibility of project planning and the provision of workforce. As the event commenced, Anthony’s responsibilities shifted to on-site event management and delivery, liaising with key stakeholders – AFL and Marvel Stadium – Sponsors and Workforce Management.
In addition, our Spark Workforcers performed an extremely crucial role with the meet and greet of patrons at the Stadium Golf Registration Desk; and were also our friendly reps who greeted patrons at the Future Golf Clubhouse after their round. As we anticipated, they were all outstanding!!!
Teeing off from multiple locations around the Stadium, including exclusive areas such as corporate boxes and the player entrance, fans were able to test their talents with 18 strokes for the nine- holes set out on the famous green below.
