Almost 65,000 people united on Mother’s Day in 73 locations throughout Australia for the 2023 Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic, with the National Breast Cancer Foundation National Breast Cancer Foundation well on track to exceed last year’s donation (donations remain open until 30 June 2023).
And Spark played a major role in ensuring the success of this national event, having organised and event managed Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth on the one weekend. With 46% of attendees in Melbourne and Geelong, it’s fair to say the majority of the team were based in Victoria for the weekend, however the planning and meticulous attention to detail required across the country by Spark’s Event Management Team in the months prior, was nothing short of exceptional.
On the weekend of the event, Spark’s team of experts provided over 1,772 hours of onsite labour across various roles including customer service, operations, course management, volunteer management and more, to deliver what the Mother’s Day Classic Team believe was “a tremendous success”.
Zara Lawless, Chief Executive Officer, MDC Foundation thanked the Spark team for “playing such an important role and for the incredible contribution and continued support”. And we can’t wait to start planning for 2024!
