Attracting almost 2 million attendees (1,978,274), the recent FIFA World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ hit a new record. FIFA President Gianni Infantino this week described this Women’s World Cup as “truly transformational” and the “biggest and best”.
The 2023 edition of the tournament exceeded ticket sale expectations by almost 500,000, with the average crowd figure more than 9,000 up on the 21,756 median at the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France. And for the first time, the tournament broke even, with more than $A888 million in revenue generated.
On behalf of MATCH Hospitality, the worldwide exclusive rights holder of the FIFA World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ official Hospitality Program, Spark filled all Hospitality Host roles across every game, with 211 Workforcers throughout Australia & New Zealand.
