The Super Rugby Pacific ‘Super Round’ was held in Melbourne recently, and the Spark Event Management Team were on hand to assist with numerous activations over the three days.
Bringing together the twelve biggest and best Southern Hemisphere rugby sides (from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Pacific Islands) to compete against one another at Melbourne’s AAMI Park, numerous activities, entertainment and engagement opportunities were on offer.
With a festival focus to bring the Pasifika community in Melbourne together, celebrations were in full effect at Gosch’s Paddock, providing the opportunity for the Polynesian people to celebrate their culture and spirit with those in attendance. Cultural food trucks, arts & craft stalls and live performances from cultural dancers were the flavour for the day, in a showing of community connection and unity.
Along with the Pasifika Festival, the Fan Zone activation at AAMI Park was a hit. The player signing sessions were a highlight, giving spectators an opportunity to meet their favourite players. Also included was several varying rugby games for the kids, a bar & food outlet as well as the Chemist Warehouse activation.
Patrons travelled from all across Australia and overseas to take in the action and enjoy the festivities on offer.
With numerous activation spaces within the Fan Zone, along with the Pasifika Festival, the Spark Event Management Team were kept busy pre-event and onsite, liaising with contractors and the venue to ensure a fun and engaging space was provided for patrons to enjoy whilst at the venue.
